The terms on which Appsotech Ltd provides Akadesk Academic OS. A signed agreement with your institution, where one exists, takes precedence over this page.
This document is a plain-language summary awaiting legal review. Where an institution has a signed agreement with Appsotech Ltd, that agreement governs.
The service
Akadesk Academic OS is a set of hosted products. Each is licensed per institution for the plan period agreed, and access is granted to the institution rather than to named individuals.
We may change or add features. We will not remove a feature an institution depends on without notice and a route to the equivalent.
Your responsibilities
Keeping account credentials confidential, ensuring the records you enter are lawful and accurate, and telling us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.
You are responsible for the accuracy of academic records. We do not verify results, transcripts or fee balances.
Fees
Plans are priced per institution and billed in the currency of the country the institution registers in. Fees are payable in advance for the plan period.
Non-payment may suspend access. Suspension does not delete records; termination and its retention period are set out in the agreement.
Availability and liability
We aim for continuous availability but do not warrant uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance is announced in advance.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees paid in the twelve months before the claim.
